It is very sad, this ph for this price, does not have what most of the other phones have ie Music player option and camera. My son is enrolled in the foundation of the blind and this would have been a brilliant phone for him, except for the fact that he wanted the music option and also a camera. Hard to find a phone with lovely big keys and large screen/large print option. Would be great though for the elderly.

I have a vision impairment and for the first time in many years I am able to text because the Doro 410 is so easy to use. Large clear numbers, easy to read screen, efficient navigation keys and excellent all round performance - great! The best mobile I have ever used.

Thanks everyone commenting here. For Ron Quinn you can set the PhoneEasy 410s to ring and vibrate. Go to Menu>Settings>Tone Settings>Alert Type where you can set all combinations of ring/vibrate on/off. [disclosure: im the sonim agent in new zealand].

The only thing I think could have been improved with this phone is the size of the letters on the keypad for texting, too small I feel for me to see without my glasses which defeats the purpose I guess.

I got excited when I saw this reviewed in the paper - seemed perfect for my needs but got a shock at the price . Seems pricey for just the basic features - I expected it to be much cheaper - given no camera, music, web, etc...

I am looking for the simplest of phone solutions for my mum. I agree the price is expensive for whats on offer. However, if you do not use your phone a lot, and you terminate your land line monthly costs at around $53 per month that may improve your cost/benefit outcome.
Shame there is not further product choice/competition in this category.
I will check this phone out further, meantime I appreciate the feed back.

I'm a hearing impaired senior-simply cannot hear the 'normal' ring tones on mobile phones. Have relied for ages on a basic 'oldies' phone brought out by Vodafone years ago, but now sadly no longer available. Been searching for a while for replacement and saw the review and thought 'hooray' but this is a bit pricey for only basic features-which is all I want. Suppose they have to charge upfront as the folks that buy these will only be doing cheap text n talk.

Perfect for my elderly mother but not at that price. Needs to come down by half at least to be comparable with phones of similar functions. It doesn't even have a camera and i would expect one for that price. My smart phone was a better deal.
